Saving LivesCivil Air Patrol conducts 90% of inland search and rescue in the U.S., as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and other agencies.   

Our Adult (Senior Members) and  Cadet members are able to train and take part in FEMA and search and rescue missions in our area.

Search and Rescue

Members learn land navigation, first aid, how to search for clues if someone is lost, etc.

Disaster Assistance

In the above photos, members in Illinois are helping to fill sandbags to prevent flooding to reach the building.  We also  after tornados, hurricanes, etc.  

Radio Skills

Communications (Comms) is critical to everything that we do.  Members learn how to use radio equipment  and how to communicate properly.
